Whilst in Ahmedabad at the stadiums recently cleared site, Ian Stokes met with Dr Jatin Soni, Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Gandhinagar.
The University was established to Protect, Sustain and Enhance sports culture by preparing Physical Educationists, Sports Scientists, Sports Coaches, Sportsmen & Sportswomen for modern competitive sports & games as well as traditional Indian games. They already offer a significant number of degree, post-graduate and PHD courses and plan to further extend their facilities through the development of an 800 acre sports village.
StadiArena and its partners hope to work closely with Gujarat Sports University.
